A friend recommended the Picasso painting kits for teens and adults - even before the stay-at-home orders. I got two of the same for my 20 year old daughter and her friend who like to get together to paintnow they work on their projects while socially distanced but can chat and compare progress. Picasso paint brushes have been getting a good bit of attention for the past few months. Most of the feedback from paint contractors has been that Proform makes a great brush. In fact, the only negative, which I read on one of the internet paint forums, was regarding bristle shed issues, particularly during cleaning of the brush. Update camera raw for mac.

Just received my new bushes, and used one of them for the first time yesterday, and I have to say, it was the best painting experience that I have ever had. (and I was using oil based paint) I read of those having bristle issues, but I used it all day long with the oil base, and never saw one bristle left behind. I have been a purdy brush man for a very long time, but may have been moved over to a new brush. Will have to see how it holds up over time, but love the way it applies the paint. Thanks, guys, for making a true brush for the professionals.

Best brush I ever used, great for cutting straight lines. Works great for staining and polyurethane (oil based). Keeps its shape really well.

There is a secret in the painting community, that these Proform Picasso will show you the power of a top quality brush, while making you not want to use anything but the Picasso line. These brushes need to go main stream. There worth every penny and then some.

This brush outperforms the equivalent Purdy & Wooster models based on its load capacity and chisel tip. The tip flagging is very sharp and retains its edge without flaring when light pressure is applied. This allows you to load a surface with more paint and then use the fine chisel tip for cutting in, resulting in significant time savings. The bristles are easy to clean and retain their shape after numerous cleanings. The Picasso brushes are my favorite for water-based paints. The bristles leave less brush marks than the Purdy or Woosters, yet they don't go limp like polyester brushes. They are also stiff enough to spread the new high VOC water-base paints like Ben Moore Aura or XIM's DTM paints without leaving excessive brush marks.
